01. What types of photography do you offer?
At Snuzzlebutts Photography, I specialize in capturing dogs—only dogs—in their most majestic, goofy, and soulful states. My photography styles include:
🐾 Dark & Moody / Dark Academia – Think dramatic lighting, rich tones, and timeless portraits that make your dog look like they belong in a vintage novel.
🐾 Outdoor Fun – Action-packed, joy-filled sessions that showcase your pup’s adventurous spirit (zoomies welcome).
🐾 Playful Colors – Bold, vibrant, personality-packed portraits full of life and wagging tails.
🐾 Bathroom Art – Minimalist, quirky, and perfectly suited for that statement piece above your toilet. (Yes, it’s a thing. Yes, it’s amazing.)
02. Where do sessions take place?
Depending on the style of shoot you choose, sessions happen either outdoors in a carefully chosen location (for action-packed and colourful portraits) or indoors with controlled lighting (for dark and moody vibes).
We’ll pick the perfect spot to match your dog’s personality and comfort level!
*Please note - there is a mileage fee when travel is >50km
03. How do I book a session?
Easy! Just fill out the contact form on my website or send me a message on social media. We’ll chat about your dog’s personality, the type of session you’re looking for, and find the perfect date to make some magic happen.
04. How should I prepare my dog for their big photoshoot?
A well-prepped pup makes for the best model!
Here are some tail-wagging tips:
🐾 Let them burn off a little energy before the session, but don’t tire them out completely. (We want those ears perky, not napping mid-shot!)
🐾 Bring their favourite treats or squeaky toys to keep them engaged. Especially if they are particular about their likes!
🐾 If your dog drools like a champ, a towel might come in handy!
🐾 For a paws-itively perfect session, I ask that only the dog being photographed attend. No extra family members, no extra pups—just the star of the show! This helps keep things focused and fun. Thanks for keeping it fur-tastic!
05. My dog is a little… uh, unpredictable. Can you still photograph them?
Absolutely! Whether your dog is a ball of energy, a bit shy, or has the attention span of a goldfish, I’ve got tricks (and treats) up my sleeve.
We’ll go at their pace and make sure they feel comfortable and confident.
06. How long until I receive my photos?
Your dog’s masterpiece will be ready within 14 business days after the session. (Holidays will impact this timeline)
Depending on the amount of photos you have selected for your session, turn around time may vary.
We will try our absolute best to have the photos ready for you as soon as possible, but emailing to check every day will only slow us down.
We know how exciting this can be for everyone, but ART takes time and so does responding to emails.
07. What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule, just give me at least 48 hours’ notice. Anything less than 48 hours will result in a loss of Deposit amount.
🐾 Deposits are non-refundable but can be applied to a future session, if 48 hours notice was provided.
🐾 Please remember, this time has been set aside for YOUR pup and cannot be filled with another shoot on short notice.
08. Can I be in the photos with my dog?
While my primary focus is on your dog, I do not generally offer owner & dog moments. It's just not what we do here at Snuzzlebutts, this shoot is about making your pup the model!
However, if they fit the artistic vision of the session, we can chat about what you’re looking for!
09. What’s the health and behaviour "paw-licy" for the photoshoot?
To make sure the session goes smoothly and safely, we ask that your dog be healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and non-aggressive toward humans.
🐾 As the pet parent, you're responsible for your dog’s well-being during the shoot. We’ll do our best to make sure everyone is comfy and secure, but the responsibility for your dog’s care stays with you.
10. What’s the “paw-licy” on contracts and copyright?
Here’s the scoop: All the photos I create are my artistic pups—so raw images aren’t included. Those belong to me!
🐾 You’ll get the final, polished photos (the tail-wagging good stuff) to share and enjoy.
The watermarks on raw files? They're like a leash on my work—keeps it safe from being altered!
🐾 Any self-edits or tweaks after the fact can impact my art, and that’s a “ruff” situation legally.
So let’s keep the final photos just as we created them, for the best “paw-some” result!
11. More info? Sure, why not! Socials, Branding and Props for the shoot!
🐾 Can I use my dog’s photos for their Instagram, a brand sponsorship, or other commercial purposes?
Your pup is a star, and I love seeing them shine! You’re welcome to share their photos on social media (Please don't forget to tag @snuzzlebutts), but for commercial use—like brand sponsorships or advertising—let’s chat first to make sure everything aligns with licensing and usage rights.
🐾 Will you share my dog’s photos online?
Most likely, yes! I love showing off the amazing dogs I work with, whether on my website, social media, or portfolio.
All images are copyrighted and belong to Snuzzlebutts Photography—think of me as your dog's personal paw-parazzi! If you'd rather keep your pup's modeling debut under wraps, just let me know before booking, and we can chat about options.
🐾 Can I bring props, outfits, or accessories for my dog?
Absolutely! Whether it’s a fancy bowtie, a cozy sweater, or their favorite toy, props can add personality to the photos. Just keep in mind that the focus will always be on your dog’s natural charm, so we’ll keep it fun and comfortable for them.
